Tom Cruise confirmed a sequel to 'Top Gun'

The actor wants to shoot a sequel to the 1986 film - in which she played an advanced fighter pilot - follow the "same pattern" as the original.

"We're working on it. I hope we can clear it up for shooting again. If we can find a story that we like them all. We want to make a film that has the same pattern as the other and shoot the same way we shot 'Top Gun '"said Cruise.

The director of the next installment will be Tony Scott , producer of the first film. For his part, Cruise says it is unlikely that Christopher McQuarrie - who looked like he was writing the script for the next project - to take office, as the writer is busy directing 'One Shot'.

"I do not think Chris [McQuarrie] going to write it. Chris is directing 'One Shot' now, where I work. We must go back in January and finish rolling, "he said.

But the actor 49 is willing to work with Scott and producer Jerry Bruckheimer in another film, and all three have been thinking and ideas for the sequel.

"I told Tony I wanted to make another film with him. We have not shot any film from 'Days of Thunder'. Tony, Jerry and I never thought we would do this again. But then came with these ideas and thought, 'Now we can do that, '"Cruise told MTV News.
