Christian Bale announces it will stop after play Batman 'The Dark Knight Rises'

Actor Christian Bale has announced that Batman will stop playing after the new series initiated by director Christopher Nolan , whose third film, The Dark Knight Rises, opens in 2012.

The actor won an Oscar for The Fighter in 2010, has admitted that his days as Batman has come to an end. Speaking to Philippine Daily Inquirer , Bale has said that over. " I think the production is now closed , so it's done. It is finished, "says the actor.

"It will be the last time I took off the hood of Batman," Bale says. And if there were still doubts adds: " It is my final and Chris (referring to Christopher Nolan, the director), this was Batman. "
