She's the compassionate vampire Carmen in the insanely popular and hugely anticipated 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part I,' but Argentine actress Mia Maestro doesn't suffer fools easily; although she'd like you to think she's as warm as her character. And she doesn't care about whether or not men's magazines like Maxim and Stuff consider her one of the most beautiful women in the world, even though she just might be.
The 33-Year-old Buenos Aires beauty takes herself quite seriously, although her music reveals a softer, earthier side that she calls "imaginary folk." Real or imagined, Maestro is a delight, and delightfully humble, having worked in television in the hit series 'Alias,' and with such Hollywood heavyweights as Cuban American actor and musician Andy Garcia in the HBO Original Movie 'For Love Or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story,' as well as in films, such as the Ernesto "Che" Guevarra homage, 'The Motorcycle Diaries,' playing "Che's" nymph girlfriend alongside Mexican avant-garde actor and heartthrob Gael Garcia Bernal.
Maestro is coming into her own as an actor and musician. And despite working with some of Hollywood's biggest names, she's not easily starstruck. That is, unless she's invited to shoot a video with music icon and Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame legend, Prince. Although you might imagine Mia singing into a hairbrush in front of the mirror to 'When Doves Cry,' we doubt she'd ever tell a soul about it.
