Tom Cruise, his eyes behind sunglasses and wearing a blue shirt and jeans, told the media present that the monument he found it "amazing", picked up the local agency IANS.
"I love being here and always wanted to visit the Taj Mahal," said the actor from the city where the mausoleum, Agra, located in the northern region of Uttar Pradesh .
According to IANS, the tourists visiting the monument immediately forgot about it when they recognized the actor, surrounded by a sea of reporters.
As told IANS one of the keepers of the monument, Munnazar Ali, Cruise spent about an hour at the place and "showed a great interest in the mausoleum, to which he devoted several minutes to admire the marble façade."
Tom Cruise landed this morning in the capital, New Delhi, and after visiting the Taj Mahal moved to the city of Bombay, on the west coast.
The film marks the return of Cruise, 49, who plays in "Mission: Impossible" secret agent Ethan Hunt, star of the series and gave life for the first time in 1996.
